FaceTime / iMessage Device Block by Apple

Interestingly I came across a MacBook Pro 2012 model that had a user who could sign into Facetime. Nothing was wrong with the Apple ID or iCloud and they were able to login to everything else just fine (iTunes, App Store, etc). User could even login to FaceTime on a different device. I ran across a comment on apple discussions where it stated Apple will sometimes block devices and does not tell you. https://ift.tt/2KqcBcf Sure enough after calling apple was escalated to a higher level support person who unblocked the device. Strangely they would not say why the specific machine was blocked, also warned they would only unblock it this one time. Good news is that user is back up and running with FaceTime. Bad news is very odd and cryptic behavior from apple. Just will block a device, no email or notification, simply not inform the user. What is up with the we will ublock but this time only? Has anyone else seen this with iMessage and Facetime? via /r/tech https://ift.tt/2Fw4E1l
