Ever discover a great multiplayer game just as it was dying?

It's a classic gaming tragedy. You pick up an older game on a whim, log in to multiplayer, happen to score a match, and you're playing it thinking "Oh hell yeah! This is a blast!" The match ends, and without hesitation, you click Next. And wait. And wait. Maybe you get another match, but it's you and one other erratic avatar who types some cyrillic characters into the chatbox and quits after two minutes. Back to the endless queue. Nothing to see here. You missed it.I just discovered Red Faction: Guerilla a couple weeks ago, after noticing it had turned into a (free!) remaster in my backlog. There's still a very small loyal player base, but it's pretty clear I'll never see the glory of a thriving RF: G scene. Which is too bad, because... it instantly became one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time.Has this ever happened to you? With what?(PS: If you have Red Faction in your library and never tried the MP, do NOT let this stop you. It's not quite over yet, but it's getting there. This might be your last chance. Get in here!) via /r/Games https://ift.tt/2M3XoxZ
