Can't find a single soundbar that works!

I've tried several soundbars with my vizio tv and they never work with the tv, yet it's a brand new tv where the consoles I have plugged in work perfectly. It's like none of the soundbars will pair with the damn thing and I literally can't figure out why....are soundbars just shit or am I missing something?
