Sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine?

Hi, does anyone know how to get maplestory to work on a pre 2015 macbook air without paying for parallels or using bootcamp? I tried using VBox, but whenever I tried opening the game I got the error"Sorry, this application cannot run under a virtual machine" even after trying the registry edit solution.Thanks via /r/tech https://ift.tt/39bsoHY
