8 years of photonic (lasers etc) MIDI guitar development - Giving up

Just thought I'd share this here. I've spent the last 8 years developing a very expensive embedded laser and fibre optic (photonic) system inside an electric guitar, to replicate the guitar playing action through MIDI. I can get my system latency down to below probably 4 or 5 ms. The problem is, the Jamstick Studio MIDI Guitar is so good and can do the same thing only marginally slower for a fraction of the price. So I think it's time to call it quits. Thought I'd at least show the community here anyway, as some might be interested in what I did: https://ift.tt/3ieNxol via /r/tech https://ift.tt/3cP2Anx
