Destroy 2 apple devices

Hi, I have 2 apple devices that are extremely old and I absolutely hate...The first is a MacBook Pro from 2012 the other is a Apple IPad 5, They are really terrible and won’t work but I’m not aloud to get them repaired unless something is really wrong according to my parents, I want to destroy both of them without actually damaging the hardware [water, pouring stuff, dropping, cracking] I want it to secretly destroy the device but the problem is...is I have multiple files I need to keep on it?
