Dead by Daylight hits 100k concurrent players on steam for the first time in the game's history, nearly 5 years after the game's release.

The game has been steadily gaining players pretty much since release, with every major expansions bringing in more players since the last. However, it has only really taken off and started becoming a consistent steam top 10 in the past 2 months, with the Resident evil expansion. In the past 2 months alone, the game has gained nearly 65% more players. Had this happened in Nov/Dec 2020, it could probably be attributed to lockdowns/Christmas. But this game has gained players in the past 2 months despite lockdowns easing and the summer holidays, which is most likely due to the game's own merit.Of course, what really tipped it over the 100k mark is the 5th anniversary celebrations, but the game consistently peaks at 65-70k even outside of this. All this is just the steam player count and doesn't even include consoles.Source: https://ift.tt/2UWSV9G via /r/Games https://ift.tt/3yeVwdv
