Petition against GHC2022 in Florida

The Grace Hopper Celebration is supposed to be an occasion of empowerment for women & LGBTQ+, but with their choice to continue holding this event in Orlando, Florida it is clear it is no longer about ALL WOMEN & LGBTQ+. With the numerous companies and attendees who support GHC, Florida receives an overwhelming economical influx during this time. By supporting Florida's economy, GHC is supporting its valuesFlorida enacted HB1557 also known as the "Don't Say Gay Bill" in March 2022 directly discriminating against the LGBTQ+ community. And now, with the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe V Wade Florida has initiated a 15 week Abortion Ban.These two announcements from Florida should have been enough for GHC directors, speakers, and leaders to halt the celebration from occurring.
