I can't stand season passes anymore

Literally every single game has a season pass (or similar) now, with a (usually) terrible grind that forces you to play in that specific time period for at least a specific amount of time or you miss out on those rewards forever because of FOMO.I hate it. Playing more than one live service game is basically impossible if you have a job and/or a family, and even just playing one feels like a chore and makes it very frustrating.Yes, technically you can completely ignore them, the problem is that right now basically all rewards that you get from games are locked in the season pass (and usually in the paid track), if you don't grind a pass, you get almost nothing, and that feels equally bad.We have to pay for something, and then if we have some kind of problem (or we just don't feel like playing) in that specific time period, what we paid for is lost forever. via /r/Games https://ift.tt/fMU97HY
